Eric Shields, DoD senior battery policy advisor
Eric Shields is a Senior Battery Advisor for the Policy, Analysis & Transition organization of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Resilience. He worked in operational energy for 15 years in the Navy and Marine Corps, including lithium battery safety, expeditionary renewables, hybrid and microgrid systems, human energy behavior and efforts to improve common DoD power sources.  Mr. Shields holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
